Losing stomach fat or weight is always about exercise and eating right, however most people tend struggle with deciding what foods are right for weight loss. If you find chicken to be too expensive for you, you can try turkey breast, it also works wonders! Just like chicken, you should only eat lean turkey meat. Do whatever you can to avoid red meat as much as you can, and if you must eat some do so in moderation and make sure it is not processed. When you cook your meats, avoid deep frying and use conservative cooking methods such as grilling or slow oven cooking instead.

Besides chicken and turkey, Fishes are also great for quick weight loss. Fishes such as salmon and tuna contain Omega-3 fatty acids. In case you don’t know, Omega-3 fatty acids fall in the category of ‘good fats’ or unsaturated fats. These are the fats needed by your body to function properly. You put on weight because of a hormone called leptin which stores fat inside your body. Omega-3 fatty acids do the opposite by cutting down on leptin and when that happens, you start losing weight, especially belly fat.

Use Olive oil:

Substitute your fatty oil with olive oil. Good Olive oil is by far the best alternative to most saturated fats; it is almost free from the ‘bad fats’ (saturated fats) and contains a considerable amount of unsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats are great for your body in that they will not only restrain your desire for food but also fight cholesterol. In other words, olive oil will keep your cholesterol levels low.

Take advantage of the Berries:

Did you know that berries are good for losing weight? Yes, they are known to burn stubborn stomach fat while flattening your stomach in the process. There are several types of berries: blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc. No matter the type of berry you like, all of them will help you to lose belly fat or extra body fat in one or the other way. Strawberry is not only common, but is considered the best among the berries. You will also agree with me that it tastes great. But perhaps the most important thing about strawberry is it helps in suppressing your craving for food. Remember craving is the main enemy in achieving your goals in any weight loss program no matter how great the program is. So when you can control your appetite, you can focus more on your weight loss goals and less on eating! Before long you will be able to get the flat stomach you have always desired.

As a coach I usually tell my students that losing weight should not be associated with starving. It is also important for you to make this clear distinction before you even think of losing weight.  As a matter of fact most of the healthy successful weight loss programs that we use every day with my students require people to eat as much as they want as long as they follow the laid out simple weight loss plan. So starving is out of the question especially if you find the right program that will give you long term results. This is contrary to what many people do no wonder they quit before they achieve their goals to get rid of stomach fat, lose extra fat or get a flat stomach. They tend to starve or follow crash diets but nothing beats eating and losing weight.

I firmly believe and see it every day when I coach that if you eat the right foods, you will not only lose weight but also become healthy. Plus, the foods I mentioned above are also rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
